Understanding Forever Chemicals (PFAS)
How man-made industrial chemicals found their way into our agricultural soil and water supplies.
PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a large group of manufactured chemicals that are notoriously resistant to breaking down in the human body and the environment. Because of their chemical structure, they do not naturally leave the soil or water once they are introduced.

These chemicals are produced by very large, industrial chemical manufacturers. Examples of these companies include 3M, Dupont, Chemours, Tyco, and others. It is important to note that these companies have already settled claims regarding these chemicals for billions of dollars.
These chemicals are widely used in fertilizers, and even more widely used in water treatment facilities. Our belief is that many farmers have forever chemicals permanently locked in their soil due to standard practices like irrigating and fertilizing crops. Something must be done to remove it, and we are investigating the potential claims farmers may have against chemical manufacturers for the abeyance of this nuisance and damage to their farmlands.
